It is a pleasure to work with Alyssa on a daily basis. She brings an enthusiasm and positive attitude that is contagious. Alyssa is a self-starter that knows what it takes to provide great service to our customers on a consistent and regular basis. (At this very moment we are attempting to clone her). Our entire mission at Tamarack centers around integrity, and Alyssa understands this and embraces it. Thanks Alyssa for all of your hard work, and keep it up. We appreciate you.

  1. Tell me about one thing that people don’t know about you.

I grew up on a stage and love to entertain people. I danced competitively for 15 years, was in choir growing up, took voice and guitar lessons, participated in a musical in 9th grade where I helped choreograph all dance numbers, and modeled in two fashion shows in college. I have always loved performing, although I don’t do it as much anymore.

  1. What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?

When I was 5 years old my family and I took a road trip to see my uncle in Colorado. Along the way, my sister and I frequently found loose change on the ground everywhere we went. As a 5 year old this was very exciting to me and I began to think all the change on the ground appeared by magic. When we finally arrived in Colorado, we found piles and piles of pennies lining the entire staircase up to my uncle’s apartment. Both my sister and I thought for the longest time that the pennies were magically there (how could someone not notice that they dropped piles and piles of change?). In reality, my uncle heard how excited we had been when we found all the loose change throughout the road trip that he planted all of the pennies for us to find.

  1. If there was a movie made about your life, who would play you?

Amy Adams would have to play me if there was a movie made about my life, after all she is my doppelganger! πŸ™‚ (Kate Mara would also be a great option too!)

  1. What do you like about your job at Tamarack Tap Room?

I really enjoy the people I work with everyday at Tamarack Taproom! They are very supportive and always willing to lend a helping hand. My coworkers are a big reason I love my job!

  1. What is your favorite meal?

I love brunch! What I enjoy about brunch so much is that it is not an everyday affair but is a meal I get to enjoy with my family and friends

  1. What is your passion in life?

My passion in life is pretty simple, I love helping others. I find helping others to be very internally rewarding and it has been the driving force towards my future goals and career choice.

  1. What is your biggest pet peave?

My biggest pet peeve is when people drive convertibles with the top down but the windows are rolled up…it just looks silly!

  1. What are your plans for the future?

I am returning to school this fall to continue to pursue my career goals. I will be attending the physical therapy assistant program at St. Kate’s here in the Twin Cities. I also plan to settle down and have my own family in the future.

  1. What do you like to drink when your not at work?

I am a big fan of smoothies! I am always looking for new recipes to try on Pinterest

  1. What is your perfect meal at Tamarack Taproom?

My perfect meal at TTR includes a beer, a burger and a dessert. I love the wide variety of craft beers we provide but my perfect meal would have to include one of my favorites: Surly’s Todd the Axe Man. It would also include the locavore burger. I love how lean the Strauss grass fed beef is, yet it is still full of flavor! The duck bacon, fried egg, WI cheddar cheese and pretzel bun also add a uniqueness to the burger, which I love! I would also make sure I included a dessert in my perfect meal because I have a huge sweet tooth! My perfect meal would end with our maple bacon mini doughnuts; maple syrup, bacon bits and mini doughnuts…need I say more? πŸ™‚
